Welcome to St. Michael's!
We would love to have you visit our church family. As followers of Jesus Christ, we want to be Active in service, Nurture our faith, Give all glory to God, Encourage one another, and Lead others to Jesus (A.N.G.E.L.).
We are on the crossroads of M-46 and M-15, serving not only Richville but also the three larger communities around us, Frankenmuth, Reese and Vassar. That means that although Richville is small, our congregation is large, with a K-8 Christian School, and a Child Care from newborn through school age.
We are a member congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod along with our fellow “Franken Colony” churches in the area (originally Richville was named Frankenhilf).
Our worship times are listed on this page, as well as links to some of our other ministries. Feel free to stop by any time, call one of our pastors or other staff, or e-mail us with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Directions to St. Michael's
Sunday lunch: The Mossner crew will once again have chili lunches available after services on 1/19. $5 gets you a bowl of chili, Fritos and a cookie. Proceeds will go to the church.
We are in need of a new location to store our passion drama supplies. If you have an empty corner in a barn and would be able to let us store our bigger items please give Josh Doud a call at 989-325-2059.
The Passion Drama is in search of someone to be in charge of costumes. Duties would include inventorying costumes and arranging times to pickup costumes and collecting them after the drama. This position can be filled by multiple people. If this is something you’d be interested in, give Josh Doud a call at 989-325-2059
LLL: Our January meeting will be held on Monday the 20th. Robert J. Schultz, CPR and EMT Instructor-Coordinator, Firefighter (Retired) will be our special guest. Wayne V. Bierlein will bring refreshments. Everyone is invited to come. Looking forward to seeing you there starting at 7 PM in the church meeting room.
Life Sunday is being observed , January 19. This year’s theme is “Did God Really Say …?” based on Genesis 3 and John 6:68. “Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.’” A special door offering will be collected for Beacon of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center in Saginaw and for Lutherans for Life. Please plan ahead for this mission opportunity and pray for the efforts of Life Sunday.
Bus Trip to Turkeyville: Join us for a bus trip to Turkeyville on March 26th to see “Grandma’s Secret Diary”. Cost is $68/person. Call Nancy Schluckbier at 868-4491 before February 1st. See the January newsletter for more information.
Urgent: The Vassar Food Pantry has had to close temporarily for lack of food to distribute and funds to purchase food. We would like to give them a good donation from St. Michael, so please consider filling a bag with non-perishable food items. (Re-usable shopping bags are available in the foyer.) PLEASE check expiration dates as they can not give out expired food. Packaged food MUST BE in sealed, unopened packages. If you prefer to donate money, that can be dropped off in the church office and it will be taken to them with the food. Let’s work together to help those struggling to feed their families. Thank you!
More information is in the "Church" tab above and then "Bulletin/Newsletter".
