"If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels. 27 I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:26-27 NLT)
The Glory of the Lord is a reoccurring theme in the Bible. God appeared to Moses in His Glory at the burning bush and on Mt. Sinai. They Glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle and Solomon's temple when they were dedicated.
The people who are ashamed of Jesus, who hide or deny their faith, miss out on the glory of the Lord. That should not be a option for us to consider.
Tomorrow we will look at how Jesus was revealed in glory to Peter, James and John. God reveals His glory and invites us into His Kingdom through Jesus. The glories of this world are temporary. The glory and the Kingdom of the Lord last forever.
