39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She’s a sinner!” (Luke 7:39 NLT)
Prejudice can take many forms. Some forms of prejudice are not as obvious as others. We see that in the continuing story of Jesus' visit to the house of a Pharisee. After a woman poured expensive perfume on Jesus' feet, the Pharisee objected to the "kind of woman" Jesus let touch him. What kind of woman was she? He called her a sinner. That was prejudice.
If we have prejudice against sinners, we are pre-judging ourselves because we are all sinners. Jesus pre-judged us and took our sins to the cross. He took our judgment on Himself. He has the power to forgive us and give us a new life in Him.
