Do you ever need someone to talk to who will listen and understand you? How many times did you need to talk with another person this past year with all of the Covid restrictions and could not. This past year has been especially difficult for people in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities and Hospitals. It has also been challenging for family and friends who have not been able to see and talk with them.
God knew Mary would need someone to talk with after Gabrielle left. Who else could listen and help her understand the changes and challenges she was facing except her cousin Elizabeth, who had here own very unexpected pregnancy. After all Elizabeth was too old to be come pregnant, but she did. Gabrielle told Mary about Elizabeth so that she could go visit, talk and pray with her. Mary could also help Elizabeth do things she would find difficult to do in the last months of her pregnancy.
We are never alone. The Lord invites us to talk with Him anytime and encourages us to bring our cares and concerns to Him. God also gives us good Christian family members and friends to listen to us, helps us, encourage us and pray for us. Never forget that God has put you in the lives of other people to listen to them, too.
